Biosketch

I’m a biomedical scientist with a master’s degree in Oncobiology from the University of Algarve. I did my master thesis in iMM within M. Carmo-Fonseca’s lab. I am now enrolled in the Ph.D. given by the Biomedicine doctoral program at the University of Aveiro. My Ph.D. project is currently focusing on the interaction of BRCA2 with chromatin remodelers using Drosophila melanogaster as an animal model.

Testimony

It was in the second year of my master’s degree when I had the opportunity of moving to Lisbon from Algarve to develop my master’s thesis in M. Carmo-Fonseca’s lab. These were very exciting times, and it was in iMM where I had my first real contact with research, that shaped my passion for science. It was at that time that I was sure I was on the right path of my career.
