Biosketch<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Graduated with a BSc in Cell and Molecular Biology from Universidade Nova de Lisboa in 2017, and with an MSc in Molecular Medicine from Imperial College London in 2018. Worked as a research fellow at iMM in 2018\/19 in the lab of Prof. Maria Carmo-Fonseca. Currently pursuing a PhD in Health Sciences at Ghent University, and working in the field of neurodegenerative diseases (NDs) with a focus on the TDP-43 protein and associated NDs, namely amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Testimony<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

My time as a research fellow at iMM really contributed to my understanding of what working in a research lab entails and allowed me to, above all, further develop my independence and decision-making skills as a researcher. It also provided me with wet lab experience and deeper insights into a number of molecular biology topics that would prove to be quite useful in my future.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
