Biosketch
Maria Vânia Silva Nunes holds a PhD in Biomedical Sciences (Neurosciences), a Master’s Degree in Neurosciences from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Lisbon and a degree in Psychology from the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences of the same University. Currently as an associate professor at the Institute of Health Sciences, of the Portuguese Catholic University, she coordinates the Master in Neuropsychology.
Over the years, she was responsible for several disciplines related to Neuropsychology and Neurosciences, both at undergraduate and graduate levels, participated in research projects and guided academic research work, particularly in the areas of cognitive stimulation, aging and dementia. She is a specialist in Neuropsychology and Psychogerontology by the Portuguese Psychologists Order. For several years she was national responsible for the area of Elderly and Dependents of the Portuguese Red Cross.
Testimony
During my apprenticeship at iMM I had the opportunity to learn in a dynamic clinical research environment. I particularly appreciated the possibility, new to me until then, of contacting colleagues from other areas.
